Budget & Finance

The City of La Demo operates on a fiscal year running from July 1 through June 30. The annual budget is prepared by the City Manager and adopted by the City Council following public hearings each spring. The FY2026 adopted budget totals $47.3 million across the General Fund, Enterprise Funds (water, sewer, trash), and Capital Improvement Program.

Public Hearing Schedule

The FY2027 budget process begins in February 2027 with department budget requests, followed by City Manager review in March, Council work sessions in April, and public hearings in May. The budget is typically adopted in June.
