City Council Approves FY2026 Budget with Focus on Infrastructure

The La Demo City Council voted 6-1 Tuesday evening to approve the $47.3 million fiscal year 2026 operating budget, which includes $8.2 million for road resurfacing, water main replacements, and a new fire station on the city's west side.

Riverside Park Expansion Opens to the Public

After 14 months of construction, the $3.1 million Riverside Park expansion is now open. The project added a universally accessible playground, a half-mile paved walking loop, and a new restroom facility near the south entrance.

Magnolia Blvd Lane Closures Expected Through April

Eastbound lanes on Magnolia Boulevard between 3rd and 7th Streets will be reduced to one lane weekdays from 8 AM to 5 PM during Phase 2 construction. View detour map.

About the City of La Demo
