La Demo Parks & Recreation
The Parks & Recreation Department manages 12 city parks encompassing over 600 acres of green space, 28 miles of paved and unpaved trails, four community centers, and two swimming pools. Over 150 recreation programs are offered annually for residents of all ages, from youth sports leagues to senior fitness classes.
Please park in designated areas only. Overnight parking is prohibited in all city parks without a special event permit. All parks are open sunrise to sunset unless otherwise posted.

Riverside Park
2.5-mile paved trail along the Cottonwood River, universally accessible playground, fishing pier, picnic shelters.
Central Park
Home of the Spring Festival and summer concert series. Pavilion, amphitheater, baseball diamonds, tennis courts.
Oak Grove Nature Area
50-acre nature preserve with unpaved hiking trails, bird watching stations, and environmental education programs.

Program Registration
Registration for spring and summer recreation programs opens March 1 each year. Programs include youth sports leagues, swim lessons, art classes, fitness classes, and senior activities. Registration is available online, by phone, or in person at any community center.
